Hello! I wonder if you still check out this forum or not but I do read the Contact tab so I choose to reach you here! Wui! I called Rance nor Orange Cat and I'm fan of your work since 2017. Uhmfhumfhum falling in love in the first read of Saving Ludo and Teru Teru Bozu and I also read your lastest work. My fav, definitely KPHI and MPLJ ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
And so, lately I've been drown deep in TRPG era especially CoC (Call of Cthulhu) with my friends. And theres so much CoC scenario is a homage to some works, like Natsume Soseki [Ten Nights of Dream or Kokoro]. I was thinking to make a CoC scenario as well and after my friend ask "If you wanna make a homage, which works would you choose?", KPHI crossed my mind in a speedlight.
Its a homage, so I'm not sure if its count as adaptation or not. I'm not taking the world building or the character but more to heavily inspired, and some of the events inside the scenario might remind the Player of the events inside the book (if they read it). I attach the scenario public brief as reference for what kind of homage I would be making!
I wonder whether you allow it or not?
Also, dp you have any book recommendations that inspired you to write KPHI? I want to read what you read too!
Thanks in advance!
I hope this long message don't bother you! ๐๐

oh gurl this is long! i'll read it in a bit, but dw i do open this web lmao. but anw, if it's for fun and nothing commercial, go wild, don't mind me :^) re book, i'm not a remember-where-an-idea-came-from unfortunately... i think kphi wasn't book-inspired, too. but if you're looking for fun fantasy reads, i'd always suggest eva ibbotson (witches & other british critters). edith nesbit wrote a book about dragons, that's also fun & light. i loooove douglas adams (surprisingly read after kphi, but the haphazard thinking sounds close!), and i recently finished patrick ness' the rest of us just lives here, which isn't necessarily childish but quite clever and very light.
